4 physical volumes but contains all 8 of the Tristam Shandy "Volumes". published in 1781 so about 250 years old now. Wear on all covers and some water staining inside covers and some pages. Appears intact. i.e all pages are there and pages and bindings are not torn and text is readable. . But also appears delicate. i.e. books would be easy to damage if handled roughly/without consideration.
