Published in 1935 by P.F. Collier & Son Company of New York. First edition and one of a collected works in six volumes. 1922 is noted on the copyright page but this is a circa 1935 printing. Bright blue boards stamped Nobel medallion and gilt stamped signature on cover and gilt font on spine. The interior pages are free of writing, marks, very tight with light age tones. This book was influential in the decision to award the Nobel Prize to Lewis in 1930. It was immediately a controversial best selling satire on those of the middle class who mindlessly conformed to middle class values and standards.
