Artifacts, part 70: Aaron had used up all his bravery just getting thru the door, so the shout hit him as hard as he would imagine a bullet might. He flinched and covered his eyes with his arms and staggered and fell down, stumbling on his way down into a chair and hitting a table hard enough to make his head spin... and to spill a large orange soda all over himself and the floor. He might have been able to enter without notice if it hadn't been for all that. The other patrons were all at the back end of the room, which was L-shaped with a counter to his left, and the long part of the L stretching away from him. But as it was, his entry was louder even than the sounds of Alien Night Massacre, the latest video game to outrage parents, and the first to boast that it was programmed and designed by Artifact. It had been the story of the year when ArtCo had announced that it had been able to tap into an Artifact to design and program computer chips, and announcement that caused panic.
