A beautifully written account of a Chinese-American family’s history. From Chinese immigrant laborers working in the west to the streets of Los Angeles where movie stars and studios clamored for the exotic Asian antiques wares from Lisa See’s family shop. I really enjoyed this book. It truly gave an insight to the struggles of people settling in America. The story of her great-great grandparents was touching and sad…definitely a recommended read. This book is in good condition. There is shelf wear. There are creases in the spine, front and back cover. The last few photos show these issues.
