The Silmarillion By J.R.R. Tolkien First American Edition / 1st Printing Hardcover book! NO MAP!!!! Dust jacket has rips, including a 2 inch tear on front cover/spine area, has multiple other small rips, but that's the worst one. Actual book is in pretty good shape, has red page edges (only on the top of the book). The last {blank} pages are stuck together at the top, & look like they ripped a little further down. This is where the map was originally made / attached, but it was removed & since has been lost to time (no map included). Inside says it's a first printing, first american edition, printed in 1977 by George Allen & Unwin on the copyright page. Publisher on the  title page & dust jacket both say Houghton Mifflin Company Boston Again, this book doesn't have any map inside.
