Seller Description
Joyce (1000 Characters) Joyce was not well-liked by folks, but was not well-hated, either. Most people would've been hard-pressed to find any opinion they had about Joyce, unless "knowing she exists" is an opinion. (It's not.) That made it all the more surprising Joyce was the first victim. That morning, July 29, everyone in town felt something about Joyce, and that feeling was, as noted, surprise. Joyce was as unlikely a victim as you could imagine, the kind of nondescript person who is in the background of any photo, usually off to the left, who enjoyed pop music but not any music in particular, who never got butter on her popcorn but used a piece of bread to heavily slather her corn on the cob with butter. That contradiction might have been of note, if it had not been a contradiction in the life of Joyce. Nobody cared about or for Joyce. And even in death, nobody cared for her. We all cared, instead, about her killer. And whether he or she was done killing. (They were not.)
