Zitkala Sa

Zitkala Sa (1876-1938) was a Native American writer, editor, musician, teacher, and political activist. She wrote about the struggles of Native Americans, particularly women, and fought for Native American rights. She was a founding member of the National Council of American Indians and was instrumental in the passage of the Indian Citizenship Act of 1924.
