Steven Naifeh is an American author, artist, and attorney, perhaps best known for his Pulitzer Prize-winning biography "Jackson Pollock: An American Saga," co-written with his partner Gregory White Smith. Born on December 19, 1952, Naifeh has a diverse academic background with a degree in Art History from Harvard, a J.D. from the Harvard Law School, and a Masters in Fine Arts from the Florence Academy of Art. Along with a successful legal career, Naifeh has written extensively on art and cultural subjects. Notably, he also co-authored "Van Gogh: The Life," a comprehensive biography of the Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh, which has been highly praised for its meticulous research and narrative style.
