Lucy Maud Montgomery (1874-1942) was a Canadian author best known for her novel Anne of Green Gables, which has been adapted into numerous films and television series. She wrote a total of 20 novels, as well as many short stories, poems, and other works. Her works often focus on the lives of the people in the Canadian Maritimes, and her writing style is often described as romantic and nostalgic.
