Julio Cortazar

Julio Cortázar (1914-1984) was an Argentine novelist, short story writer, and essayist. He is best known for his experimental novels, such as Hopscotch and Rayuela, which blended fantasy and reality and often contained elements of magical realism. He was a major figure in the Latin American Boom of the 1960s and 1970s, and his works remain widely read and influential today.
