Barlow John Perry Barlow (1947-2018) was an American poet, essayist, and political activist who was a founding member of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and co-founder of the Freedom of the Press Foundation. He was a strong advocate for the freedom of speech and the Internet as a platform for open communication. He wrote extensively on the freedom of expression, copyright law, and the digital revolution.
