George Stephanopoulos

George Stephanopoulos is an American television host, political commentator, and former Democratic advisor. Born on February 10, 1961, he is best known for his role as Chief Anchor and Chief Political Correspondent for ABC News, a co-anchor of "Good Morning America," and the host of ABC's Sunday morning current events news program, "This Week." Prior to his career in journalism, Stephanopoulos served in the U.S. government as the Communications Director for the 1992 U.S. presidential campaign of Bill Clinton and subsequently became White House Communications Director. He later served as a senior advisor for policy and strategy during Clinton's first term. After his tenure in the White House, Stephanopoulos turned to broadcasting, joining ABC News in 1997, where he has since become a prominent political journalist and television host. Although primarily known for his work in news and politics rather than as an author of literature, Stephanopoulos has authored books including "All Too Human: A Political Education" (1999), which is a memoir of his work in the Clinton administration. His writing provides insight into the world of political communication and the operations of the White House during his years of service.
