Eddie S. Glaude Jr. is an American philosopher, public intellectual, and author. He is the Chair of the Center for African American Studies and the William S. Tod Professor of Religion and African American Studies at Princeton University. He is a prominent voice in the African American community and a leading figure in the new wave of African American intellectualism. He has written extensively on race, religion, politics, and culture, and is the author of several books, including Democracy in Black: How Race Still Enslaves the American Soul.
