Charles Perrault (1628-1703) was a French author and poet who wrote some of the most famous fairy tales, such as "Cinderella," "Sleeping Beauty," and "Puss in Boots." He is credited with popularizing the fairy tale genre and influencing the works of the Brothers Grimm. He is remembered as a key figure in the history of French literature.
