Andrew Grove

Andrew Grove was a Hungarian-American businessman, engineer, and author, best known for his role in the growth and success of Intel Corporation. Born András Gróf in Hungary on September 2, 1936, he survived the Holocaust and immigrated to the United States, where he eventually became a key figure in the semiconductor industry. As one of the early employees and eventual CEO of Intel, Grove played a pivotal role in the transition from memory chips to microprocessors, which established Intel as a leading technology corporation. Under his leadership, the company produced innovative products that helped shape the personal computer revolution. Grove was also known for his management philosophies and methodologies, which he shared through his writings. He authored books like "High Output Management" and "Only the Paranoid Survive," which provide insights into his approach to business strategy and leadership. His contributions to technology and management have left a lasting impact on both Silicon Valley and the wider world of business. Andrew Grove passed away on March 21, 2016.
